S/S ’12 Fashion Trend: Ice Cream Parlour

I am such a sucker for pastels. On a yearly basis I see the pinks, peaches and baby blue colours coming out in shops on the high street and I can’t help but think that spring is just around the corner. This year I’ve fallen in love with this collection from Lipsy, named Ice Cream Parlour. Hues of subtle vanilla, bubblegum and candy floss are combined with soft floral, lacy and distressed fabrics to create a feminine and girly look that’s straight off the catwalk.

Washed Skinny Jeans - £48

Foil Jersey Tee - £12

Textured Colour Block Clutch - £35

I adore the butterfly print shorts – they’re so fun and cute for spring and summer. Even the belt is butterfly shaped! We can expect to see a lot more of these colours in the coming months as we progress into the (hopefully!) warmer and sunnier weather as these pastels are perfect for Easter too. I’m also loving the pink skinny jeans – the colour is so purdy!!

Will you be wearing ice cream colours this season or favouring another trend?
